Trey's First Day of School

Well today was Trey's first day of school. He is starting Kindergarten at Apache Elementary. He was excited to go, but I think nervous at the same time. Kirsten, Coby, and I took him to school. Of course it was crazy there being the first day of school and everyone and their friends dropping off their kids. We parked down the street from school and we walked him to school. It was hot already at 7:50am. We walked up and Trey was staring at all the kids playing on the play ground. We took him into his classroom and hung his backpack up. He picked up his name tag and I helped him put it on his shirt. We walked out and met his teacher (Mrs. Batz). She was having the kids line up in two lines (boys and girls). We stood out there and the teacher made her announcements and allowed the parents to say goodbye and take pictures. Then they all walked into class. We took pictures and video of him. He was off to start his many years of education.

Mom's turn~Mark told how dropping him off went. Well I got a call from the school nurse around 11:30, Trey cut his head during recess and was in her office getting the bleeding to stop and hanging out with an ice pack for a while~~only Trey!
He called me after school and was in a great mood and had fun. He was especially excited about the cafeteria having chocolate milk!
We know he will do wonderful and continue to brighten all of our lives!

Trey's Turn ~ I had a fun time. I made new best friends. I had chicken nuggets, green beans, bread, and chocolate milk for lunch. I also had cookie fish crackers for dessert. I colored three papers and wrote my name on my calender.

Dad's Turn ~ I went to pick him up at 2:00pm. In the area in front of the classrooms it was packed with parents waiting to see their little ones. The parents were patient and standing back away from the classrooms until......The door opens and the mad rush happened. Mrs. Batz opened the door and she asked each kid, one at a time, if they saw their mom or dad. Trey was so excited. He came to me and all I saw was the band aid stuck to his hair. That was fun to take off!!! All was good and he told me how his days was. After that we went to pick up Coby at Suzannes (Daycare).
