Christmas 2009

Having a little down time..so I decided to add a quick post.
Christmas eve the boys made their gingerbread house, we ate a quick dinner and then made hot chocolate and hit the road. We went to 6 or so Christmas houses. One of them I have been going to since I was a kid and my grandparents lived in north Phoenix. Unfortunately next year is his last year decorating after 55 years!! Of course it is the best house and you can walk through it too. The boys loved the wooden Snoopy characters he had displayed and the Santa jumping in the pool. When we got home the boys got to open their new pj's and slippers and make cookies for Santa.
Christmas day was fun of course! How can it not be with little ones around?? Before we opened presents I threw a batch of Dutch babies in the oven so we wouldn't have to worry about breakfast. The boys played all morning while I got ready and made cookies. Trey loves his new football and video games and Coby loves his Caterpillar truck that he can disassemble, he must have taken it apart and put it back together at least 20 times!! This morning I heard the little hum of the screwdriver. Dan and Crystal came over and we all went to Juli's house for some yummy food. After that we came back and watched the Chargers game while the boys played some more. Today we are headed over to Dan and Crystal's for Ryan's B-Day party.

Early Christmas in Tucson

Last weekend we went down to Tucson for a little early Christmas celebration. We had a great relaxing time! Saturday night Mark and I got to go out for goodies and dinner. We got cookies from an Italian bakery for the boys and then some chocolate from Choc-Alot where Alyssa works. My mom also had some fudge from there around the house...needless to say we added a few pounds!! Mark and I could not figure out a place to go eat so we went back to El Charro where we first officially met. So yummy! Of course Coby was having a hard time without us, so we went back home and took them bowling with Alyssa. They did awesome and had so much fun! On Sunday we exchanged some gifts and went to church. Only one speaker (YES!!) and he did an wonderful job. We came home and ate steak/chicken, baked potatoes, veggies and homemade Italian rolls from the bakery. It was really good! I even ate the steak!
Last night the boys wanted corn dogs from Wienerschnitzel (cheap dates!) and then we went over to Westgate to see the Christmas tree and get hot chocolate. Lots planned for today and tomorrow but I will post that later.

Christmas

Oh how I LOVE Christmas...everything about it is great!
We have already had a chance to buy toys and canned food for donation. We let the boys participate it that tradition every year. How awesome to be able to help others and teach the boys!
I love listening to the Holly XM channel in the house and car, Christmas music is the best! Never to early, in fact we stared listening the beginning of November.
Our ward party is this Friday. I love our ward, but Christmas Sunday is a huge let done. Last year we had speakers and only a couple songs. Really??? One Sunday out of the year could we please just hear music or the story of the birth of Christ? Who wouldn't want to hear that? I think I will be in search of another ward or there is a Lutheran church a block away...hee hee.
Well to end on a positive note...

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we went down to Tucson. Our family stayed with Zack and Emily.
We got to hang out with them the first night and break in their portable fire pit with some marshmallow roasting.
Thanksgiving was nice. The weather was perfect, luckily because the table were set up outside. Lots of family and food! Best part was only having to make broccoli/cauliflower casserole, pumpkin cheesecake and napoleon cremes. Pops deep fried the birds.
The rest of our stay was pretty relaxing. Mark did some early bird shopping for the boys, I stayed away!!
We went to my parent's house Friday for my mom's b-day, some yummy halibut from my uncle (I do not like fish but it was so tasty), lego rock band and cake.
The boys got the 24 hour puking flu...so fun!! I am lucky they make it to the bathroom 95% of the time. After we watched the U of A football game with Zack and Emily we headed back to the homestead. They boys slept the whole way home.

Trey Trey

So in Trey news...
He finished his last soccer game :( sad for me because I LOVE to watch him play. I think he will be moving on to basketball for the winter sport.
He earned his bobcat in scouts last week.
Today he retained his first place title in the turkey trot. He almost caught the turkey towards the end.
The teachers were telling me to put him in cross country next year, so we will see if he wants to continue his running.
He is enjoying reading and loves to be read to at night.
So proud of him!! He is such a joy and a great big brother.

Yummy!!

We got to sleep in today until 8..yeah!! Then the boys and I went to the new Krispy Kreme by our house. Ohhh so yummy!! It is a full factory store so we got the warm glazed ones. They also have a milk bar where the boys got a shot of flavor in their milk. Trey got blueberry and Coby got strawberry..they were actually tasty.
Coby broke his trusty Old Navy flip flops so we had to go to 2 locations to find his size. We cannot live without them!! He even wore them to church on Sunday, yeap that is one battle I will not fight, as long as they don't look neglected, they can wear what they want. Trey also wanted to spend some of his allowance at Walmart. You would have thought they were celebrities..everyone seeing their donut hats and asking if they went there, if it was open now and where exactly it was.
In other exciting news..Coby is potty trained!! We are returning an unopened package of pull-ups and then using the money to have an ice cream potty party to celebrate.
Trey is finishing up soccer (he had 2 goals on Saturday) and enjoying school and scouts.
We are going to be headed up north this weekend (I think) to drop the boat off at Mark's parent's house to store for the winter and to take family pictures. We will probably go up over winter break also to hopefully play in some snow.

Halloween

The boys were Transformers this year. I am fine with just buying these costumes since I do not sew. Luckily I have boys who like superheros/cartoon characters. We actually had a dilemma with the sizes and ended up having to go the day before Halloween to get Trey a new costume...it all worked out fine, they just had to switch which Transformer they were.
Of course we realized Trey's was to small 5 minutes before our ward party...good thing his Batman costume from last year fit. Our ward had their party on Thursday night. Not the greatest and most organized but at least Trey had fun!! Yes, if you know Coby, he sat on my lap the whole time and peed on me also! He did go with Trey to get candy.
On Halloween day Trey had an early soccer game and then we came home and carved our pumpkin and the boys drew on theirs. We went to Mark's sister's house for a dinner block party and then brought G&G Beach back with us to go trick or treating.
On Sunday we went to Dan and Crystal's for Macey's blessing. All the family was here so that was nice, we were the last to leave.

From Our Part of the World

I kept meaning to do a new post and then we would get busy...so now I have a whole bunch of things to write, I will try not to ramble.
Trey~
Loving second grade and Cub Scouts. He had his rain gutter regatta last Thursday. We were missing the rudder so Mark did a little research and they turned his into a catamaran. He won the "most unique" award. He had a blast! He has also started soccer again and is doing great. This past Saturday the coach had him in 6 of the 8 quarters playing forward. He was tired but always ready to play.
He has had a passion for music that I hope he never looses considering his parents are not musically or vocally talented! I often catch him singing and playing an air guitar. We are lucky to live in a wonderful school district that still has on site P.E., music and art teachers. In a few years the students are required to join band. He has his sights set on a trumpet.
Coby~
Oh the joys of little boys! We are still working on potty training and the bribery is starting to wear off. Who would pass up a mini Snickers bar??
This past Tuesday he took a crash head first into a chair. Ohhh the gushing blood...good thing it does not bother me, well on my children it does. We took a LONG visit to the ER and came out with 4 stitches. Now he will have a scar to match his brother's.
I took them to an awesome park today up at Anthem. We started off with a train ride around, then they went on all the slides, dug in the sand for bones, played in the splash pad and ended with a little soccer and running in the grass. Trey held Coby down all the slides, he is such a good big brother!
I love this time of year! Cooler weather, pie month at Marie Callendar's, changing of leaves (oh wait, not where we live, just wishful thinking), did I mention pie month?? :) I LOVE to bake, but have never wanted to make a pie that doesn't start with a store bought crust. So I turn to Marie 2 times a year for her double cream blueberry pie with a hint of apple. I know how to make the chocolate satin so we can have that year round.
Coby and I took a trip a couple of Fridays ago over to Mesa to see my grandparents, stop at a fabric store and try Cafe Rio for the first time. I must say it was yummy! We have a place by us called Bajio that is very similar and they have awesome mango salsa and sweet rice.
We also found a great burger joint that has really good cheeseburgers, flavorful shoestring french fries and yummy custard. Can you tell I LOVE food??
I am still working on a little redecorating in my family room but have the master bedroom done!
With this cooler weather we were able to take a hike again. Coby made it most of the way. I can't wait until we can go a couple of times a week!

Healing Field

On Saturday we went to Tempe to visit the Healing Field. It is park that they fill with flags each representing victim of 9-11. Attached to each flag is the name, age and a small bio. What a breathtaking and overwhelming sight. All the flags and the sound of them flapping in the wind, what a great tribute.
We walked up to the bridge so we could get a good panoramic view.
After we left we took a drive down Mill Ave.
We also stopped at an Oriental marketplace to look for POG (Passion-Orange-Guava) juice. You can get it everywhere in Hawaii and there is nothing that compares to it! We did find some in a can but it is just not the same. Interesting store I might add..live fish, frogs, crabs and fried fish heads to name a few. They also had an entire aisle dedicated to Raman noodles, every kind and brand you could imagine.
In closing I would like to add how grateful we are to live in America and have the freedoms we enjoy. May the Lord continue to bless our country and may we never forgot 9-11.

Birthday Party for the Boys

So we FINALLY had our combined family party for the boys. They actually were the lucky ones because they each got a cake on their birthday, then another combined cake and more presents because their relatives spoil them! Okay, well they did get more presents from us too, but hey they are only young once!!

Football game

No much new from our corner of the world.
Emily and Zach came up for a few days. Saturday we went out on the boat and then my dad and Alyssa came up for the football game. We met Dan and his 2 boys at Wienerschnitzel for a fancy dinner and then headed over to the game. The boys were running around of course, but we had a fun time!

2nd Grade...Here I come!!

Just dropped my sweet boy off at school!! I am so excited for him this year...he seems to have a really sweet teacher and some of his good friends back in his class. I cannot wait to pick him up and find out how his day was.

Science Museum

The boys and I went to the Arizona Science Museum last Friday. We had never been before, so I figured we should try it since it is to bloody hot to do anything outside!
It was fun, but both boys informed me that they liked the Children's Museum better because they can run through the hanging "pool noodles".
It was an afternoon well spent with my boys. It is a struggle to find stuff to do in AZ during the summer unless you want to live in the pool!

BIRTHDAYS!!

A little late on the post, but YES, we are a July Birthday month!!! Well, except for yours truly.
Trey's actual birthday was spent driving back from San Diego..bummer, but we celebrated it the day before. Coby celebrated his with just family. I made a cake for each of them. Coby kept asking for a blue cake, so that is what he got! We will eventually have a family party for them once all the craziness dies down! Trey starts school on Monday! Oh how the summer flies.
Well in close I would just like to tell me boys, because I am sure one day they will just LOVE to read our blog (hee hee), that we love them more than they will ever know and we are so blessed that 8 years ago on July 12th and 3 years ago on July 24th they came into our lives! Love you boys!! :)

San Diego 7/2009

Ahh..back to the heat after a great trip to granny's!
We spent our first day in La Jolla exploring the tide pools..what fun!! Trey loved it and Coby enjoyed it until he would see a crab and then he would scream. Trey found some beautiful shells. On Thursday we surprised the boys with Legoland for part of their Birthday presents. We had a blast! We pretty much made it on all the rides the boys wanted to go on. On Friday we did a little shopping and then went to our favorite seafood restaurant with grandma. On Saturday we hit the swap meet, Seaport Village and walked around the USS Midway. In the afternoon we took the boys down to the bay to play at the park and skate around. We celebrated Trey's Birthday that night with yummy pizza and cake. Mark and the boys would play football and skateboard around all morning while I was getting ready. How nice to be able to play outside!

Potty time

So here is a little video of Coby. Both the boys have learned to "meditate" We have a morning session and if they are misbehaving they have to mediate in the corner. Just kidding. You can't see in the video, but he rolls his eyes into the back of his head..it is too funny! Trey came up with it somehow..maybe they had to do it in school! :)
Coby is also working on potty training. I believe in letting them go at their own pace and not forcing the issue. He is just like Trey in that area. Neither liked being in a dirty diaper, but also they never want to stop playing to go! He loves his underwear, or as he says "wonderwears". He puts them over everthing, so we have to take 2 items off to go to the bathroom and of course he has to check out all the bathrooms in the stores.
My baby is growing to fast!!

Summer Fun

We have been so busy...I don't even know where to begin!! Hope I can remember everything!
We had family visiting I think almost every weekend in June. Alyssa and some of her friends came up the weekend of my B-Day and we went out on the boat...lots of tubing and wake boarding! They watched the boys so Mark and I could go out to celebrate. The next weekend my family came up to celebrate B-Days and Father's Day. We took shifts on the boat and then all came back for pizza and cake. Alyssa and her friend Morgan came last weekend for boating. Sat. night we went to an outdoor mall and Inn N Out for dinner.
For the 4th we got up early and went to up to Clarkdale for their parade. The kids get to ride their bikes, scooters, wagons, etc in the parade. We decorated Trey's bike and Coby's little car the night before. The town is so pretty..historic houses, buildings and lots of greenery!! After the parade there were games and food set up in the town park. The boys loved the basketball game..check out their great form in the pictures! Mark has taught them well...Trey won the grand prize for making all his shots. Coby didn't want to stop, after the alloted 3 balls, he would just keep shoting.
After the parade we all went back to Mark's parent's house for relaxing and lunch on the grill. What is a 4th of July without hamburgers and hot dogs? After more relaxing we went to a park that had inflatables with water for the kids. They had free hamburgers, to bad we were all still full! My family loves roasted corn so we did have to get a few of those!
We headed back home so we could see the local fireworks. It is really busy and crowded at our sports complex, so this year we decided to watch the fireworks from a parking lot. We ate pizza and salad first and then saw a great fireworks show! It was actually a great view and the best part was we got right out of the parking lot!
I have been busy with the boys and redecorating some of the house. That is what happens when you paint your master bedroom walls to match your bedding and the bedding rips! Luckily I found another set that will work without having to repaint! I only changed a few things and need to make a trip to Ikea to finish the bedroom. I also added and changed some things
in my family room...still trying to figure that room out. I think I am going to have some curtains made after I find the right fabric and add a few more pictures and accessories.
We are headed off to San Diego on Tues-Sun. We cannot wait! I has gotten really hot here!

Busy Busy

We have been keeping busy these last few weeks of May..can't believe it is going to be June!
Trey finished up soccer and did so well!! His coach wants to try and keep the team together.
Trey also finished first grade with an excellent report card!! He is going to keep reading this summer and his teacher sent home some worksheets for all the kids to do during the summer. He has already been asking when he can start them, he has one for June and one for July.
Last week we had 2 high school graduations..Congrats to Alyssa and Calli!! We drove down for Alyssa's on Wednesday and had to drive home the same night. Her ceremony was nice and it was really cool out. It started raining as soon as we went down to see her and take pictures. We did get to spend a little time with my family before, but they had parties going on after. She is going to go to Pima Community College and then transfer to the U of A for nursing...well, those are her plans for now. The next day was Trey's last day of school and he got released at 11. We all met him and brought flowers for him to give his teacher. Then we headed to Calli's graduation at the Cardinal's stadium. That was nice being inside because it was longer. Calli is going to the Paul Mitchell beauty school here...lucky me, 2 hair stylists in the family!! We spent that afternoon swimming and then went to the movies with Mark's family that night. Saturday my family came up to go out on the boat. We were out 9-5...can you say lobsters!! Everyone got a turn on the new tube, even my mom and Coby. After that we stopped by Calli's graduation party and ate dinner. Sunday we all went to church and then some people headed home and my parents and Lindsey stayed. Monday we went to Mesa to see my grandparents and great aunt and uncle. We ate lunch at Olive Garden and then stopped by the hospital to see my grandpa. We stopped and did a little shopping in Tempe since we are not on that side of the valley a lot. We went out on the boat yesterday and the boys are out again today. We are looking forward to the summer, well not the heat, but all the family time we get to have!!

Mom's Day

First I must say that my greatest joy in life is being a mom!! My boys are the best treasures I could have ever been given.
On Mother's Day, Father's Day and Birthdays we let the person of honor choose all their feasts for the day. So the boys got up and made blueberry muffins and brought me my gifts. Mark had kindly informed me that I was getting a hodge podge of stuff that the boys picked out. Trey made a book, poem and bookmark for me at school. They bought me roses, LOTS of chocolate, a toothbrush and a shower loofah (are my boys telling me I need to work on my personal hygiene??HEE HEE).
I had been craving burgers on the grill, so that is what I requested from Mark. Oh were they yummy! He marinated them in teriyaki sauce and grilled pineapple and a purple onion blossom. For dessert he made strawberry shortcake.
Thank you my sweet boys!

Sweet Tooth

Ahhh, so I have a SERIOUS sweet tooth!!! All I want to do is scour the web for dessert recipes and good heavens...keep me away from Food Network!!
This week I had granny's cherry cake, made dump cake, smores, bought cookies and am contemplating making Giada's chocolate tart and there is still about half of the dump cake left!!! Is that BAD??? Just missing the blasted heavy cream and the patience for it to set in the fridge...usually ends up in my arctic freezer to speed up the process. Is it also bad that I secretly wish my kids won't eat the bananas I buy so they can turn into muffins or bread??

Easter

We had a nice Easter with our family! We got up EARLY and went to church, yes we have 8am church, which is just wrong in every way. Of course our ward MUST have speakers even on Christmas and Easter when I would much rather listen to a cantata. My parent's ward always had big cantatas when I was growing up...must be all the musical talent in their ward. The boys did get a chance to see the gifts the Easter bunny brought. Coby had to take his carton of Robin eggs to church. After that we stopped by the house to get the rest of the Easter goodies and change clothes. Then we headed to my Grandparent's house in Mesa. Some of my family was already there. We ate a really yummy lunch, I wish I had room for seconds!! Although we did get leftovers for dinner. My sisters and I hid the eggs in a grass area for the boys. They had a lot of fun. Coby would find an egg, inhale all the jelly beans and then throw the empty egg. After a little chatting and resting we headed home. Some of Mark's family stopped by later that night to give the boys their goodies. I can't believe school is almost over! We have a lot of graduations coming up!

Family day

We all got up early this morning for our day of fun!! Well, not the waking up early part. Trey had his first soccer game today. He did so well, him another little girl made their 2 goals. He went from having no girls on his last team to a team with mostly girls. As soon as his game was over we headed to Saguaro Lake. Mark got everything all packed and ready this morning so we could head out after his game. This was our first time at this lake and it was beautiful. More to my liking, lots of scenery and a lot of "no wake" zones which means Mark has to go slow. I took my first turn driving...we are definitely going to have a love hate relationship because it is harder to steer when you go slow, but I do not like going fast. After we toured the lake, which took about half hour from dock to dead end, we anchored it, put the top up, ate lunch and did a little fishing. Coby also had a parting with his pumpkin paci (see pictures of the obnoxious thing), he spit it right into the lake and it sank right down. Now if we could have a proper burial for the remaining ones we would be in good shape. Layla managed to escape from the house and go for a frantic run up and down our street. She opened our house garage door and then managed to push the button for the overhead garage door. Good thing we have good neighbors who sent her back in.

Boating

So we finally got the boat yesterday!!
We left the house to meet Mark at 11 and did not get home until 5, so it was a long day. The weather was beautiful, but the water was freezing.
Some of the crazy boys went in the water.
We have a tube for the kids to ride in and Trey and Zach's friend Colton rode in it for a while. Well, troublemaker (aka Mark) wasn't paying attention to the speed and they got thrown off the tube. Trey got a nice cut on his lip and chin. He told me, "When my friends ask what happened, I am going to tell them, my dad got a new boat and he was going too fast, 30, and I flew off."
Here I thought he would be safer on the boat after his accident on his quad! Boys and their toys!
Mark forgot the camera in the truck, so more pics to come...

Spring Break

This week is Trey's Spring break, so this is some of the stuff we have done...
Monday we went to the library, took a hike with Mark when he got home and then ate at a new Chicago restaurant that opened by our house.
Tuesday we all went to a Spring training with some of Mark's family. Mark's niece and her friend took Trey around to all the kid zones, so he was hardly with us. After the game we went to Mark's sister's house for corned beef, cabbage, biscuits and bread pudding.
Wednesday we went to the park in the morning. When Mark came home he let the boys ride the quads around the neighborhood, for the last time :( while I went grocery shopping.
Today I took the boys to the childrens museum. The boys had so much fun! I had only brought snacks and drinks because we were all full from breakfast, so when we left we were starving. As we were driving I saw a Krispy Kreme sign, my family LOVES donuts, so we had to stop (all of the ones by us closed). So my boys had pancakes for breakfast and donuts for lunch, good thing I am making a healthy dinner!
I think tomorrow we might just relax. Dan is coming over to watch some games.
Fingers crossed, we should be getting the boat on Saturday. We are going to meet Mark out at the lake after he gets everything squared away with the seller.

Trey Singing

Okay, here is Trey singing rock-a-bye. He was being a little quiet, so you will probably have to turn it up.

Saturday, March 14, 2009

Rock-a-bye

My grandpa Black used to sing this version of rock-a-bye to me, so I sing it to my boys. Trey is spending the night with his cousins, so I just have a video of Coby tonight. He got a little confused at the end and said something about pictures because of the camera, but this is how it goes:
Rock-a-bye don't you cry
We will go to granny's
Up the hill
By the mill
To see the little lambies
BAAAAA
Of course we have added all kinds of animals and their noises.

New Addition

We got a dog last night!! I know we are crazy, but the boys (all 3 of them) just love animals. She is a 1 1/2 year old Boxer named Layla. We decided to keep the name her original owners gave her so the transition was easier for her. Utah is not happy about this change...at all!!

Sports Pictures

Mark took the boys to a Sun's game and a White Sox spring training game recently. Coby is wearing a really OLD vintage White Sox shirt...it was Mark's HEE HEE. Trey reached his arm through the fence and got a signature on his baseball. Here are some pictures, enjoy!

Hiking

We have been trying to go hiking at least 2 times a week. I am not sure what we are going to do when it gets to hot. We usually hike the West Wing mountain, but decided to try the White Tanks Regional Park. It is beautiful, I wish there had been more rain recently so the waterfall would have been flowing. The boys enjoy hiking, although Trey is usually running, Coby is on Mark's shoulders and we have to stop for an occasional rock throwing.
Trey just finished basketball and is on to soccer. He is doing very well in school, although he is counting the days until summer vacation. We are really lucky that he is in such a good school. The expectations are far greater than what we ever had to do in first grade!
Coby is enjoying the kids more that come to our house. He is such a little helper. His new phrase is ,"sugar forever." Not sure where that came from?? He has been enjoying playing basketball with Trey. He always asks him,"Trey, want to play some basketballs?"
Mark is in the process of getting a boat, so we are excited about that. Although I am a little nervous about Coby...he does not like his life vest.

Silly Boys

Coby LOVES Oreos, here is his Oreo face!
Trey came home from school yesterday saying,"Everybody's a critic". Good thing is he didn't learn it from school, I think it came from Spongebob.

Mark's Outdoor Times

Mark is scratching his camping itch this weekend and next. He built a fire pit in our backyard and then we roasted marshmallows and and sat around it. We also went out quading by Lake Pleasant. We were supposed to BBQ hot dogs, but he forgot the propane. We did have our picnic table set up, snacks, drinks and pudding (which you can probably see on the faces of the boys). We rode around some trails and then in the open area the truck was parked in. We took a beautiful drive to Castle Hot Springs.
Okay time for a little AZ history lesson...Castle Hot Springs was the first resort in Arizona, it also was the first telephone number given out, number 1...should I try and call it?? It is called Castle Hot Springs because there are 3 natural pools that 400,000 of water fill a day. It opened in 1896. Many soldiers from WWII came for rehabilitation. JFK stayed for 3 months. There was a fire in 1976 and it has not been an operating resort since then. There are caretakers that live there and will not let you on the property. It is for sale...anyone interested in going in on it with us?? I could definitely soak in a hot spring all day. HEE HEE

Trey's News

Trey got Student of the Month for December! His awards ceremony was last Friday. He got a free meal for Red Robin, so we went yesterday for lunch because he had a half day. The weather has been warm so we went to the park for a while after.
Today was the school's Freedom Run. Trey got first place for all of first grade! He has a incredible amount of energy. We have been hiking a lot and he usually will run and always stay ahead of us.
He has his first basketball game tomorrow and is excited.
He is such an amazing brother. He will always share anything he has with Coby. Today he got a two stick popsicle after his race and the first thing he did was break one off for Coby and ran over to give it to him. We did not even have to ask. Trey will do ANYTHING for him. If we want Coby to walk while hiking, he runs to Trey because he knows Trey will carry him. He always knows who to ask when he wants candy! Coby will do the same also. When he gets something out of the fridge or pantry he gets one for Trey and if I give him something he will say,"One for Trey too".
The other night Coby wanted me to hold him instead of going to bed. I took him upstairs and put him in bed with Trey (they have to sleep together, hence the new bunk bed with a full on bottom). I stood and listened at the door and Trey said,"Mom can't hold you right now, come over here and I will hold you. Tomorrow mom will hold you".
I thank Heavenly Father every day for their sweet spirits and we are blessed to have a constant reminder of a child's kindness and innocence.

New Year 2009!!

For New Year's eve we went to Westgate for a family event.
They had music, games, coloring, magic tricks, balloons and face painting.
We had to wait in line for a long time for Trey to get his face painted, so we took turns walking around. They had a balloon drop at 10:00, but we didn't quite make it that long. We cam home a watched a movie. Coby and I passed out. I woke back up at 12:30, just missed it!!
You can see in the pictures that Trey has lost a couple more teeth. He pulled one out on Christmas and the day after. So Santa and the tooth fairy came!!
